Your wedding flowers can easily be the most expensive part of the wedding. When you are at the florist making your selections, ask what will be in season for your big day. There are several benefits to using seasonal flowers:
- They are plentiful. They are in season so they are readily available and don’t have to be shipped in from some foreign country or expensive nursery.
- Less expensive. Because they are plentiful, this makes them less expensive as well. That is not to say that some seasonal varieties aren’t going to be pricey, but using cymbidium orchids for your winter wedding will be cheaper than for your summer wedding.
- Look healthier. Because they are in season, growing outside in the fresh air and sunshine, they are more vibrant and healthy looking.
- Seasonal flowers tend to just naturally match their season. Since weddings are typically planned using a seasonal theme, these flowers match it perfectly.
- There are plenty to choose from. Each season has their signature flowers and they all come in a range of colors so you should have no problem finding something to match your wedding.
